Permanand Kessani is a renowned Social worker, author, former banker, and founder of the website of the Suthar Samaj network. He has authored a wide range of religious books, especially on Vishwakarma Dharma in different languages. He is co-founder of this platform sutharsamaj.net which is dedicated for welfare Suthar community of India as well as Pakistan.

Early Life & Family Background

Mr. Permanand S/O Jodharam Kessani was born on 12.03.1947 in Mithi District Tharparkar (Sindh, Pakistan). Permanand Kessani had three brothers (Seth Kasturchand, Girdhari Lal, and Naraindas) and a sister. His eldest brother, Late Seth Kasturchand was a great merchant of Tharparkar of his time.

Shree Permanand Kessani married a daughter of Shree Bhupomal Ji Kularia in 1971. From this marriage, he was bestowed a humble and proud son Dileep Kessani, and a daughter Kanta Bai. The father-in-law of Permanand originally belonged to the Chachro town of Tharparkar who had migrated along with his family to India before the war of 1971.

Education

In family of Jodharam Ji, there was no trend of completing matriculation or higher studies but Permanand Kessani had a dream of higher studies for achieving banking or agricultural profession. He received his primary education to matriculation in his native town. He completed Matriculation from Govt. (P) High School Mithi in 1965. Then, he earned B.Sc. in Agricultural Engineering from the Sindh Agriculture University of Tandojam (Sindh, Pakistan) in 1972 and an M.Sc in the year 1974

Professional Career

After completing higher studies, he got a government job at the National Bank of Pakistan, a leading commercial bank in Pakistan. and served there for 22 years of his life. He also performed the role of Bank Manager in various branches of different locations in Sindh including Mirpurkhas and Mithi.

After retirement from the government job at the bank, he served 3 years as Manager of Finance and Administration in Thardeep, an NGO based in Mithi. Throughout his professional life, he performed his duties with honesty and a friendly manner. He migrated to Jodhpur (Rajasthan, India) along with his family on 15 January 2000 and now living there.

Social Works

Permanand Kessani always has taken an interest in social work especially related to the welfare of the Suthar community. He completed some notable works including a collection of Vanshavali and a treasure of three books to the Suthar Samaj.

Permanand Kessani keenly attends the public gatherings of the Suthar Community. He never touched alcoholic things nor he did smoke or gamble in his life. He used to have a gathering with his friends or relatives in the guest room (Otaq) of his house. He often played card games after he got free from bank time in the evening. People always witnessed the humble and pious nature of Permanand Kessani in Pakistan and India.

Permanand Kessani keenly attends the public gatherings of the Suthar Community. He never touched alcoholic things nor he did smoke or gamble in his life. He used to have a gathering with his friends or relatives in the guest room (Otaq) of his house. He often played card games after he got free from bank time in the evening. People always witnessed the humble and pious nature of Permanand Kessani in Pakistan and India.

Since 1989 he has been collecting data on the Suthar community for Vanshavali (Shujra) and this work is ongoing. His completed record of Vanshavali is also provided on this platform, which the Suthar community can access it for their knowledge. In order to connect Suthar community and share them userful information he co-founded this website with support of some notable personalities and volunteers in year 2010.
